Project Ethos: Cynthia (Boss Design)

Cynthia

  • Two sided/faced angel

    • Dark and Holy sides

  • When a phase change occurs, a different side takes over control

    • Phase 1

      • Holy Side

      • Caster (short range)

        • AoE Damage around the boss and around the fighting area

      • Light based damage

      • Light and Dark Puddles fill the stage

        • These do no damage, but change how much Light/Dark your character is

          • Light attunement drops light damage done by the boss’s Light damage

          • D ark attunement drops light damage done by the boss’s Dark damage

      • Phase changes at 60%

    • Phase 2

      • Dark Side

      • Caster (long range)

        • Much bigger beam in one direction

        • Beams in V formation

          • Charged but does massive damage if hit

          • Beams connect after each side hits a wall

      • Dark based damage

      • Phase changes at 20%

    • Phase 3

      • Both sides are in control

        • All previous abilities are used, along with a new ability

          • Each side gets a whip which does its according side’s type of damage

            • Spins in a circular motion

            • Can be dodges over

  • Abilities

    • AoE Puddles

      • 3 are always down at a time

        • Each lasts 30 seconds

        • A new one reappears every 30 seconds

        • Deals 2% damage every second in the puddle

    • Light/Dark Puddles

      • 1 light and dark down at all times

        • Disappear and Reappear somewhere else every minute and a half

    • V-Shaped beams

      • Slowly leave boss and head to the nearest wall in the V formation

        • After both beams hit a wall, they connect to each other with a beam

          • After the beam connects they stay for 25 seconds

          • Hits for 5% every second in the beam

    • Big beam

      • Much larger than the other beams (3x the width)

      • Stretch across the whole field of battle

        • Shadow of where the beam will shoot goes on the ground for 2 seconds as the boss charges it

        • After charging the beam shoots in one hit dealing 75% damage to anyone who is inside of the beam

      • Leaves a burn mark in the ground where it shot

    • Whips

      • Set in formation and slowly spin

        • Can be dodged/jumped over

      • Spins for 30 seconds and then the whips go away

      • First whips start 20 seconds after Phase 3 hits

        • Will repeat one minute after the whips end
