Taig'on The Unclear

  • Description

    • Boss design for a World of Warcraft like MMORPG
    • Taig'on consists of several pillars, to beat the boss the Players must make good use of the the pillars and what good/bad comes from destroying them
  • The Fight

    • Pillar Passives

      • Health Exchange
        • While this pillar is alive, both tanks share the same health pool
          • This health pool is increased by 1.5x
        • When this pillar is destroyed, both tanks gain back their original separate health with a 2x bonus
      • Mana Exchange
        • While this pillar is alive, 30% of healing comes back to the healer as damage (discounting heals on themselves)
          • When the pillar is destroyed, they replace that debuff with a new one that makes all single target healing splash healing to closeby allies
      • Damage Exchange
        • While this pillar is active, all DPS deal 20% less dmaage
          • When the pillar is destroyed, DPS regain the damage lost and gain 10% more to it
    • Boss Passives

      • Soul Link
        • The boss is linked with each pillar, storing 25% of his health in each pillar
      • Do Not Ignore Me!
        • If at least 2/3 of the raid is not attacking Taig'on, he will soft enrage and deal an extra 25% damage until the correct number is met
    • Phase One

      • Taig'on is in a soul form, staying that way until he is at 25% health, at which point he will reform with his main body
      • Player's must take The Soul of Taig'on down to 1% health, at which point he will retreat back into his body to regain health
      • During that time, 3 pillars will emerge for 30 seconds for the raid to DPS
      • After 30 seconds, The Soul of Taig'on will be fully regenerated and the pillars will go back to invulnerable
      • Phase Two starts when one pillar is destroyed
      • Abilities
        • Tank Specific
          • Calibrate Soul
            • A 10 second DoT which is placed on the tank with the current aggro
            • Deals 2% of the Players current health and leaves a debuff called Corruption
              • Corruption causes the next DoT of Calibrate Soul to last twice as long as the previous version
              • This debuff lasts 20 seconds but can be refreshed by being hit with Corruption again
        • Spawn Relinquisher
          • An add that spawns on Taig'on which will relinquish a Severed Soul from his body once every 5 seconds while also dropping a puddle of Ectoplasm
            • Severed Soul will pick a target at random and deal physical damage to them until it is killed
            • Extoplasm is a small puddle that forms under Taig'on's feet dealing 5% health to any player who stands inside as well as stealing 50% of their movement speed
        • DPS Specific
          • Split Personality causes the floor and room to be split in half between a green and blue side
            • Melee DPS can only deal damage on the blue side of the field, while Ranged DPS can only deal damage on the green side of the field
            • After 30 seconds, the field switches and randomly assigns itself
    • Phase Two

      • Phase Two starts after any one of the three pillars is destroyed
      • After the Enforcer is dead, the fight goes back to Phase One
      • Abilities
        • Spawn Enforcer
          • Does not attack Players, instead just casts a spell which keeps the other pillars invulnerable
        • Spawn Immortal (x3)
          • These adds have no aggro table, and randomly attack Players
          • Abilities
            • Decimate
              • Every 10 seconds the Immortal teleports to a random Player, and after a 2 second cast hits the ground which deals 65% of a Player's health at the center, 45% at the outside
              • If the Immortal does not hit any Players with Decimate, it deals 10% damage to itself instead
            • Any Immortal still alive by the start of Phase One will stay alive and keep attacking
    • Phase Three

      • Phase Three activates when 2 of the 3 pillars have been destroyed
      • The third pillar which is still alive is now invulnerable for the duration of the fight
      • Taig'on will then fuse with his real body, starting the last phase of the fight
      • Abilities
        • Spawn Immortal (x3)
        • Envelop
          • The ground slowly starts to seep from the outside inward, dealing 10% of the Players health each second they are in the ground
          • The more Players that stand in the Desecrated Ground, the faster it starts to move in
        • Spawn Polluter
          • An add which is spawned every 30 seconds in the middle of the room
          • Channels an ability which makes the Desecrated Ground move in faster
      • This Phase is focused on beating the boss before the Desecrated Ground kills everyone
